EARLY EDUCATION TEACHER / DIRECTOR
TERM 3 2013 (covering long service leave)
Gan Gani Kindergarten is a single unit Community Kindy at Fig Tree Pocket. We have been servicing the western and centenary suburbs of Brisbane for over 20 years. Affiliated through The Gowrie Qld, we offer an “approved kindergarten program” whilst also providing opportunities for the children to learn about Jewish tradition through music, art and stories in a very relaxed and fun way as part of our multicultural experiences.
We require an experienced Early Education Teacher/Director to cover Term 3 whilst our Group Teacher/Director takes long service leave.
This position will cover:
· Mondays, Tuesdays and alternative Wednesdays between 8th July to 17th September 2013
· Hours of work will be 8:30am to 3:30pm (with the service operating between 8:45am to 2:45pm)
Responsibilities include:
· To fulfil teaching duties within the kindergarten
· To develop, plan, implement and/or oversee a program which reflects sound early childhood principles, relates
theory to practice, acknowledges parent values and beliefs and the multicultural nature of the community
· To develop, plan and implement an understanding of National Early Education Quality Standard and Early
Learning Years Framework and work to all Gowrie and Kindergarten policies and procedures
· To develop, plan and implement (in conjunction with Special Needs Assistant) a program which meets the
needs of all children within the group
· To plan for and maintain open communication with all children, families and staff in the centre.
· To complete observations and records including portfolios and daily communication book
· To actively participate in meetings, professional development and kindy events
Qualifications & Experience:
· Early Childhood Education degree (or equivalent)
· Registration with Qld College of Teachers
· Senior First Aid Certificate, including Resuscitation, Anaphylaxis and Asthma
· Experienced Early Education Teacher and Director within Community Kindergartens
· Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
· Ability to relate to children, parents and other staff of various ages, and social and cultural backgrounds

We require an experienced Early Education Assistant to cover the end of Term 2, Term 3 & Term 4 2013 – with possibility of permanent position starting in 2014.
This position will cover:
· Term 2 – Friday 14th June, Thursday 20th & Friday 21st June
· Term 3 – Fridays between 10th July and 20th September
· Term 4 – Thursdays, Fridays and alternative Wednesday between 10th October and 13th December

Lead Educators (min Diploma Qualified)

We are seeking skilled and motivated Lead Educators to deliver our early childhood education and care
programs for children from birth to 5 years.
Key duties relate to the design, implementation and evaluation of these programs.
Full-time (38 hours per week) and part-time positions are available. The Gowrie is a family-friendly
